Core Maintenance Principles

  • Immediate Chemical Neutralization: Immediately following every pool or open-water session, thoroughly rinse all equipment with fresh, cold running water. Prolonged exposure to chlorine, bromine, ocean salt, and organic body oils induces oxidative degradation in technical polymers and degrades textile elasticity.
  • Protection of the Hydrophilic Anti-Fog Layer: The internal surface of our optical polycarbonate lenses features a delicate, factory-applied anti-fog coating. Never wipe, rub, or touch the inside of the lenses with your fingers, towels, or cloths. Mechanical contact permanently destroys this technical layer.
  • Natural Convection Drying: Always allow gear to air-dry naturally in a cool, shaded, and well-ventilated space. Direct thermal radiation or prolonged exposure to sunlight damages elastomeric structures, causing silicone to harden, discolor, and lose its ergonomic seal.
  • Avoid Harsh Solvents and Additives: Do not clean any equipment with bleach, industrial solvents, or stain removers. For technical apparel and microfiber gear, avoid fabric softeners entirely, as they coat synthetic fibers and clog their moisture-wicking capabilities.

Category-Specific Care Instructions

  • Swim Goggles & Optical Masks: Gently rinse with cold fresh water, shake off excess droplets without impacting the frame, and let air dry upside down on a clean surface. Once fully dry, store your goggles inside their dedicated hard case or microfiber pouch to guard against surface abrasions on the UV400 protective lens coating.
  • Hypoallergenic Silicone Caps & Accessories: Rinse thoroughly to erase chemical buildup. If storing for an extended season, ensure the item is entirely dry and lightly dust the interior with neutral talcum powder to prevent silicone-to-silicone fusion.
  • EVA & S-PVC Training Equipment: Rinse kickboards, pull buoys, and safety floats to clean away surface residues. Ensure inflatable swim buoys are completely dry on both interior valves and exterior surfaces before deflating and folding to prevent mildew growth.
  • Technical Microfiber Towels & Swimwear: Hand wash or machine wash on a cold, delicate cycle with mild neutral detergent. Never use fabric softeners, as silicone-based additives clog the high-density microfiber weave, drastically reducing its water absorption properties.
